Here are the five steps to a healthier, smaller version of you

Step #1

Make the decision to change your lifestyle habits that will help you loose weight and be healthier

This is not a decision that you should take lightly.  After all you are not trying to loose some weight before a special event or to impress someone.

You are choosing to make a pretty big change in your life.  A change that is about a lot more than just loosing some unwanted pounds.  You are planning to make a change and then keep the new you and not go back to your heavier weight.

Step #2

Pick a solid well researched plan with scientific research of their products – not products from a different company.

Too many times I have done research of products, especially nutritional products only to find out that the “research” they claim to have is research

that a different company did on its products.

If I am going to choose wisely based on research and scientific studies that have been published in peer-reviewed journals I know that I am looking at a top notch product.

Step #3

Clean up your environment, kitchen- refrigerator, pantry and any other place that you might hide food

Think seriously about this one!  You want to set yourself up for success not failure.  If you have food all around you that would not be good for your healthier, new you journey than you are setting the stage for failure.

Step #4

Start – Just get started as soon as you have done steps 1,2,and 3

If I have heard it once I have heard it hundreds of times.  I will be visiting with a friend and the conversation comes up about loosing weight.  They
are serious about wanting to be 20, 30, 50, 100 pounds lighter but as I listen to them I hear all kinds of roadblocks to their success.

They don’t have any kind of plan as to what program they will use, how much they hope to loose, when will they start.  They have not thought about setting a time frame goal.  Like – I would like to loose 20 pounds in 10 weeks.  Which is very realistic because on average we can expect to loose about 2 pounds per week.

So this is why it is so important to do steps 1,2 and 3 and then as soon as you have completed those then jump right in.  After all you can’t win a race if you don’t start racing.

Step #5

Stay Committed

This is a very important step!!

It doesn’t make sense to do steps 1,2,3 and 4 IF you don’t plan to follow through and stay committed.

I would go so far as to say to you to write out a statement of your commitment to begin a serious program to loose weight and become healthier.  Then share that statement with a friend or your significant other.
